'Made in France' turns out to be 'made in Saudi'

Saudi law enforcers shut down a factory producing homemade perfume and labelling the bottles as ‘Made in France’, a newspaper reported on Monday.

Inspectors from the ministry of commerce raided the factory in the capital Riyadh and seized nearly 50,000 fake perfume bottles and 25,000 ‘Made in France’ labels, Arabic language daily ‘Sabq’ said, quoting ministry officials.

“The inspectors also discovered that the factory that is operating with a licence is managed by an Arab expatriate, who was arrested,” the report said.
