“Magic chicken leg” key suspect in house fire

Saudi civil defence units which put out a fire in a deserted house after a long battle suspect a magic chicken leg could be behind the blaze.

After controlling the blaze in the mud house in the northwestern town of Hail, the firemen found a chicken leg and a piece of cloth tied to it.

In their report on the incident to the feared Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, the firemen mentioned the chicken leg and said they suspect it to be a magic work that caused the fire.

“The anti-magic unit at the Commission received the chicken leg and the piece of cloth and is working on it to determine whether it is a magic spell,” the Arabic language daily Sabq said.
