Man keeps son's bride as sex slave for months

Published

BRITAIN: A woman who arrived in UK with her husband following an arranged marriage in Pakistan was sexually assaulted for months by her father-in-law. The woman could not speak English.

The husband did not live with his parents but left his wife behind at his father's mercy, reports Daily Mail.

The woman who married at the age of 18, was forced to hand over her passport and jewellery to her father-in-law.

The 56-year-old man tortured the young bride mercilessly. He forced her to promise on thier holy book that she would not reveal anything about her torture to her husband or he would ensure that her husband divorced her.

She was treated as a sex slave and forced to watch pornography and was not allowed to wear underwear, said the daily. The woman was physically abused numerous times. The man burnt her with an iron and even scratched her arms with a screwdriver to submit to him, whenever his wife went out of the house.

The young girl did not know to speak English and hence could not seek help from outside immediately. She even contemplated committing suicide as her husband had virtually abandoned her and her father-in-law would never miss an opportunity to abuse her.

She finally learnt enough English after three months of torture and dialled 999 to seek help.

The father-in-law has been jailed for seven years.

Teacher, 41, caught having sex with student, 18, in car

BRITAIN: A 41-year-old teacher was caught without clothes, in an intimate position with a teenager in her car by police officials.

The officials were shocked to discover that the woman was the teenager's teacher at school, reports Daily Mail.

The pair were told to dress up before getting out of the car.

Residents of a neighbouring house tipped off the police after detecting the car parked suspiciously in the dark around the street corner. Police officers initially speculated it to be a drug deal.

Following the embarrassing incident and her arrest, the teacher resigned from her job at school. If convicted, she could face up to two years in jail for having sex with a minor.

Mother kills 4 children and herself

FLORIDA: A mother who fatally shot her four children before killing herself Tuesday called three of the kids who had sought help from a neighbour back to the house before firing the fatal shots, authorities said.

Thirty-three-year-old Tonya Thomas fatally shot her four children, who ranged in age from 12 to 17, said Lt. Tod Goodyear, a spokesman for the Brevard County Sheriff's Office.

Three of the children had gone to a neighbour's front door before dawn to say their mother had shot them. The mother then called the children back to the house and killed them, Goodyear said.

"From what the neighbours said, she was very calm. She walked out and called them back. They turned around and walked back to the house," Goodyear said.

The neighbour then heard gunshots and called 911.

Another neighbour told deputies that Thomas sent a text message in the middle of the night saying she wanted to be cremated with her children.

"He didn't see the text until he woke up this morning," Goodyear said.

Deputies identified the children as Pebbles Johnson, 17; Jaxs Johnson, 15; Jazlin Johnson, 13; and Joel Johnson, 12.

The shooting happened in Port St. John, about 15 miles west of Cape Canaveral in an area known as the "Space Coast" because it is the home of Nasa's Kennedy Space Centre, the location of numerous famed shuttle launches.

A spokesman for the Department of Children and Families wouldn't immediately comment on whether the family had a history with the agency. Goodyear said deputies had responded to the house for domestic complaints previously.

Jamie Hudson, whose mother lives two doors down from the family, said the boys in the family were known to shoot BBs at a home across the street and had threatened to set it on fire.

"It has been an ongoing problem on our street with them," Hudson said.

Goodyear said Jaxs Johnson had recently been arrested on a domestic violence charge. He said he didn't know if the boy had been accused of hitting his mother or causing damage at the house.

A pastor at the church the family attended described it as "normal stuff."

"I think he was punching some walls or something," said Jarvis Wash, pastor of the Real Church in Rockledge, Fla.

Wash said the family attended services last Sunday but had been absent for a few weeks before that.

"I don't know what could have happened in the past couple of days," Wash said. "It's a tragedy to the church and the community." (AP)

Dead bride found in bathtub in wedding gown

CHICAGO: A woman was found stabbed to death in her bathtub a few days after she got married.

The 26-year-old new bride was found in her suburban apartment after her sister got worried when she could not contact her and informed the police.

The newly-wed was apparently supposed to pick up her two children - eight and two-year old - from a relative's house but did not show up, according to the US daily Chicago Tribune.

Her new husband has not been identified yet and no marriage certificate was filed at the county office either.

The man she allegedly got married to was the father of her younger child. Although the sister did not approve of the couple tying the knot, the bride sounded happy on her wedding day, the sister told the daily.

Police officials have registered a case of homicide as the mother-of-two died of stab wounds.
