A Palestinian man who has decided to get married is stipulating that his bride must be an orphan to avert any marital rifts, saying they are mostly caused by families.
The 25-year-old man, identified as Mohammed, said he had contacted a marriage office in his hometown of Birzeit in the West Bank and asked them to find that bride for him.
“I am now looking for a bride provided she is an orphan…I have heard many stories from friends and relatives that the main cause of marital trouble are families,” Mohammed said, quoted by Palestinian newspapers and BBC Arabic TV channel.
