A woman was taken by surprise when she received mail from the postman. Someone has sent her 15 live chickens.

She did not have to wonder for long as to who had sent the chicks. A note accompanying the chicks contained some 'crude comparison between the animals and her', reported Daily Mail.

The 'parcel' had been sent by her ex-boyfriend who wanted to make a point that there were many 'chicks' out there.

The woman did not accept the chickens and told the postman that she would simply dispose off the chickens outside her home in Washington, which forced the postal man to take his load to Washington Humane Society.

Although, one of the chickens suffered from an injury on its leg, it has subsequently recovered.

The woman was fortunate that the postman agreed to take the chickens to an animal shelter, or she would have been sued for cruelty towards animals, for trashing those chicks.

However, the boyfriend got away because it is legal in the US to ship live poultry in regular mail.
