Massive search for fugitive in Saudi – a monkey

Saudi municipal inspectors backed by police have fanned out through the western town of Makkah as part of a massive operation to search for a fugitive - a monkey.

A large police unit rushed to a house after its owners reported sighting the fugitive on top of the house but could not find it after it apparently fled again.

“The monkey is not a pet or tamed…it fled captivity to an unknown area…the operation is still on to find the fugitive,” Sada newspaper said, quoting a police source.
