Mid-air mania: Cabin crews sing and dance onboard

Published

The world may seem to be fixated on the search of the missing Malaysian Airlines flight, but there’s definitely interesting incidents happening midair.

Talented cabin crew have found innovative ways to inform and entertain the otherwise bored and tired passengers on-board.

While a couple of stewardess’ sing safety instructions before the flight takes off, others dance to popular beats to inform passengers of the safety tips.

A Virgin America flight attendant delighted passengers with dramatic high-kicking safety routine recently.

Several of the passengers look rather nonplussed at first, continuing to read or sip their drinks as the man jumps up and down beside them.

But the cabin crew made sure his enthusiastic demonstration was impossible for passengers to ignore.

Taking tips from the airline's recent promotional film that uses dance routines and music to illustrate its pre-flight safety instructions, air steward Michael Tongko is seen running up and down the aisle and gyrating his hips to music.

He demonstrates how to fasten the seat belt and operate the oxygen mask while shimmying back and forth, waving his arms in the air.

He then grabs a life jacket and dramatically drops to the floor to laughter in the cabin.

Clearly enjoying himself, he proceeds to point out the exits, striding up and down the cabin as if auditioning for a part in a Broadway musical.

He dramatically rounds off this segment of the demonstration with a high kick to the cabin ceiling to cries of 'Nice!' from the passengers.

In another earlier incident, a SouthWest Airlines crew was seen rapping the safety briefing.

Yet another stewardess chose to ease passengers when the plane was cruising through bumpy clouds by grabbing the microphone to sing.

Similarly, a flight attendant for Southwest Airlines used her talent to tickle the bones of bored and tired passengers, though a few of the jokes flew over the passengers' heads.

And when Gangnam style was the craze sometime back, a cabin crew on T’way air flight knew what to do to entertain his passengers…
