Passengers of a Saudia flight that landed in Cairo were admitted into the North African Arab country except one—the pilot. The reason was that he did not have a passport.

Newspapers said the Saudi pilot of flight 301 which arrived in Egypt from the western Saudi Red Sea port of Jeddah had forgotten his passport in Saudi Arabia.

Egypt’s Arabic language daily Alyoum Al Sabei identified the pilot as WMA and said he was allowed to proceed through airport counters in Cairo by his authorized pilot card.

“But authorities kept him there until his passport was brought aboard the next flight from the Gulf Kingdom,” it said.
