Tamil actress, step-brother arrested for running sex racket

TAMIL NADU: A Tamil actress who allegedly resorted to prostitution to tide over a financial crisis was arrested along with her stepbrother on Saturday night.

Caroline Mariyath, a 22-year-old Tamil film actress and popular model from Chennai, was arrested from a five-star hotel by the Social Security Cell of the Crime Branch.

The police suspect that it was her stepfather who worked as her pimp. The stepfather was said to be absconding.

Mariyath has been a model in many advertisements of diamond and textile companies.

The police said she took to prostitution because of a delay in the release of three of her films.

It is assumed that her stepfather, Ranjeeth Mariyath Asan, who is a model photographer, allegedly helped her get clients along with her stepbrother M Rajkumar, who worked as her manager.

The police said they suspected Mariyath's stepbrother Rajkumar worked as her agent.

They said Rajkumar had come to the city in a rented car and checked into a room, following which the two were arrested, reports NDTV.

 

Angry Dad smears faeces on girl's lips

CHINA: A ten year old girl was punished by her father for being disobedient.

But the punishment was unimaginable - he smeared human faeces on her lips.

The incident took place in a market in Hangzhou, China.

The father in his 30's had scraped the faeces from a public toilet bowl at a market in Hangzhou and smeared it on his daughter's lips.

And not just ones, he did that five times. Each time going into the toilet each time to scrape faeces.

The police took the matter into their hands and the father admitted of his actions.

He said he punished his daughter because she did not obey his instructions to arrange newspapers properly, reported AsiaOne.

 


Mother suspected of killing 6-year-old son

JAPAN: A woman has been arrested on suspicion of strangling her 6-year-old son in their apartment in western Tokyo.

The police reported that she might have done that beacuse she was wracked with anxiety.

She was emotionally unstable and tried to commit suicide.
 
The woman, Yuko Numata, attempted to slash her wrist.
 
Numata, 44, allegedly killed her son, Akihisa, earlier this month at their apartment in a public housing complex in Tachikawa.

Autopsy found the boy had been strangled to death, reported AsiaOne.

 


Groom gets kidney as wedding gift

HAMPSHIRE: Robert Baldwin requested Dan Flack to be the best man at his wedding.

But never expected Dan to take this duty so seriously as to donate one of his kidney.

Dan gave Baldwin one of his own kidneys so that he can get married and also be a father.

Mr Baldwin, who lives in Basingstoke, was diagnosed with kidney failure at the age of three months after he suffered feeding problems at birth.

His mother Rosanna, 58, was told that Robert would need a kidney transplant one day.

Mr Baldwin’s condition was managed initially by medication, reports DailyMail.

Robert and Dan have been best friends since childhood.

Robert already had a kidney transplant from his father. But even this kidney started to fail.

Mr Baldwin had to go for dialysis treatment three times a week to keep him alive.

When Robert planned to get married he asked Dan to be his best man. Instead he was surprised with his proposal for a kidney transplant.

The transplant means that Mr Baldwin’s wedding can now go ahead as planned in May and he also is due to be a father two weeks before the wedding.

 

Man dies after 23 hours of gaming

TAIWAN: A man from Taiwan was found dead after playing a computer game for 23 hours at an internet cafe.

Police found the body of 23-year-old Chen Rong-Yu slumped in a chair at the cafe in the Taipei area with his hands stretched out towards the keyboard and mouse, the Herald Sun reported.

 Cafe employees say Rong-Yu walked in late on Tuesday and sat down at a corner computer terminal.
 
He took frequent nap breaks, so the staffs were not alarmed to see him resting.

The following night, an employee tried to wake him, but found his body was cold and called police.

According to Rong-Yu's family, he had been treated for a heart condition in September.
