Kindergarten students in a Chinese village of Changchong were asked to carry their own desk and chair as there were shortage of furniture in the school.
Early September morning, three-year-old students were accompanied by their family members who were lugging the chairs and desks that their ward could use in the school.
The school has more than 5,000 students but furniture to cater to only about 2,000 students. The rest had to get their own from home.
It is a common problem where corrupt school officials pocket the money they receive in grant from the government, thereby leaving the students to grapple with issues such as furniture shortage among others.
