A Saudi wife pushed her husband to have a third wife to express her hatred of his second wife from Egypt, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.
The woman also asked her sons to fund their father's marriage of a young Moroccan woman to take revenge from the Egyptian wife who she accused her of stealing her husband from her nearly 28 years after their marriage.
“A year after the husband married an Egyptian woman, his first wife found him a Moroccan woman and pushed him to marry her. She also asked her sons to fund the marriage and a house for the new wife,” 'Sada' daily said.
Scholarship causes problem
A Saudi woman rushed home to tell her husband the happy news of winning a government scholarship abroad. Instead of congratulating her, he divorced her.
The husband, who lives in the southern Saudi Jazan province, told his wife to forget about going abroad for study or he would abandon her.
“He strongly rejected her decision to travel abroad but she insisted. He immediately divorced her although they have just got a baby,” 'Ajel' daily said.
