Woman gives birth 20 minutes after learning she was pregnant

Published

A lot of people were shocked when they read that a British soldier who gave birth on the front line in Afghanistan was unaware she was pregnant.

However, UK daily The Sun has come across more women who discovered they were pregnant only when they went into labour.

Emma Hobday who is now 19, went into labour when she was merely 16 years old. She was still fitting into her size 10 denim trousers, she told the daily.

She was rushed to a hospital with stomach cramps as her mother suspected that the teenager had appendicitis. The doctors told the daughter that she was pregnant and was ready to deliver. Her son was born exactly 20 minutes later.

In another case, a 21-year-old Stacie Speak, was in the middle of her waitressing shift when she felt a sharp pain in her stomach. She went to the washroom and didn't even realise that her water had just broken. The pain intensified and forced her to lie down on the bathroom floor and suddenly her baby boy slipped out.

Meanwhile, her boyfriend, who was a chef in the same hotel in Scotland, broke through the bathroom door when he heard her screaming in pain, to find her sitting on the floor with their baby in her arms.

The couple were shocked to find themselves as parents of the tiny baby.
