A 23-year-old Saudi girl died just one day after her marriage and her shocked husband said she had never suffered from any serious health problems.
The unnamed groom said he woke up early on the next day after their wedding and tried to wake up his wife but she did not move.
The girl had not suffered from any pains or real health problems before,” Alihsa News daily said in a report from the eastern town of Mubarraz.
“Her husband’s happiness was shortlived as she died just hours after they started their honeymoon. He is still in a terrible psychological shock,” the paper said, adding that the girl’s body was sent to the forensic section to determine the cause of her death.
