God's name on newborn's ear

An Egyptian hospital doctor delivering his wife in the most populous Arab country was shocked when he found God’s name in Arabic shaped on the baby’s ear.

Dr Sayyed Al Shareef at the hospital in the Northern town of Beni Suef said his wife had not stopped praying to God during pregnancy to have a safe delivery.

“God responded to her and gave her a baby girl. Both are fine now,” he told Egypt’s daily Alyoum7 after performing a Cesarean operation on his wife.

He said he had decided to call the baby Sama (Arabic for heaven).
