An elderly couple was run over by their own car outside their home in Britain killing the husband on the spot and critically injuring the wife.
The couple, in their 60s, were crushed under their car while they stood loading bags in the boot and the vehicle rolled down a steep hill for about 50 yards, reported Daily Mail.
Firefighters had to lift the car to free the couple, but the man was pronounced dead with multiple injuries, while the woman was air-lifted to hospital in critical condition.
Authorities are investigating if the car brakes had failed or there was a fault with the vehicle.
The neighbours recall the couple to be very polite and private people. They had reportedly moved to Britain from Iraq about 20 years ago.
