Saudi to sue mates who likened him to Gaddafi

A Saudi journalist is planning to sue two colleagues after they likened him to Libyan leader Colonel Moamer Gaddafi, now a political pariah, a newspaper reported on Monday.

The unnamed journalist in a local Arabic language daily in Saudi Arabia’s eastern region said he had decided to sue the two journalists from another newspaper because they likened him to Gaddafi on Facebook.

“The two said they were surprised by his decision because they were only joking with him… but they also noted there is a strong resemblance between that journalist and Gaddafi, especially his hair and eyes,” Sabq daily said. “Efforts by friends are now under way to settle the problem peacefully.”
