Arsenal's Podolski flat, Diaby hole leaves Wenger exposed

Arsene Wenger has a midfield that can now rival Chelsea’s famed Oscar, Mata, Hazard combination. 

Jack Wilshere, Santi Cazorla and Mikel Arteta are equally classy, talented and lethal. 

However, while Chelsea bring John Obi Mikel or Ramires to shut down those spaces left by the rampaging movement of the magic trio, Wenger has been left wringing his hands by Abou Diaby’s injury.

Wenger’s tactics seem to prefer Lukas Podolski on the wing, this despite Podolski operating best in a central striker’s role.

However, with Theo Walcott on one wing and Podolski on the other, Arsenal carry genuine goal-scoring threat.

Without Diaby in the middle, they also carry genuine goal-leaking fear.

Nobody to boss the midfield could be costly in the end.
