Latest Man Utd transfer news: Even Welbeck wants out… so why will Cavani come?

It is not quite clear how the 2-0 humbling at Everton will further dent a team pretty much already destroyed in the Premier League this season, but it is clear that on the want-to-leave or likely-to-leave list are now Javier Hernandez, Danny Welbeck, Nani, Nemanja Vidic, Patrice Evra and depending on who you want to believe Robin Van Persie.

Moyes may actually consider letting all who want to leave go, given that he is currently playing with a pack dealt to him by Sir Alex Ferguson.

Moyes has assured United fans the world over that several big signings have been lined up for the summer and according to the Daily Mail’s Grapevine Edinson Cavani is a target for Moyes and United in the summer.

In fact the report suggest United will outbid Manchester City and Chelsea to try to sign £50m-rated Paris Saint-Germain striker Cavani.

Moyes's first visit to Goodison Park since he left to succeed Alex Ferguson last year proved a chastening one, as his side fell to their 11th defeat of a dismal campaign.

Leighton Baines, a one-time United target, put Everton ahead from the penalty spot in the 28th minute after Phil Jones had blocked a shot with his hand and Kevin Mirallas added a second shortly before half-time.

Currently any manager in the Premier League looks more inspiring than Moyes.

Gus Poyet in charge of last placed Sunderland.

Cardiff City manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the beloved United striker, who has labelled the relegation clash at Sunderland as "a proper cup final" and believes two wins from their final three matches will be enough for Cardiff to avoid the drop.

Moyes wants Welbeck to stay, the question is really whether the feeling is mutual.
