Residents of these penthouses in Abu Dhabi will have access to swimming pools with waterfalls, lap lanes, islands and a lazy river.

These are the 21 penthouses in Gate Towers on Shams Abu Dhabi on Al Reem Island and Aldar Properties.

Abu Dhabi’s largest developer has set a starting price of Dh7.5 million for these upscale dwellings.

“There are 21 units in total, ranging from 430 to 614 square metres, and one has been sold since the launch four weeks ago. There is considerable interest in remaining penthouses,” John Robson - Sales and Leasing Director, Aldar Properties, told Emirates 24|7.

Penthouse prices start at Dh7.5 million and include three years free service charge on purchases before December 31, 2014, Robson disclosed.

Asked if these are the costliest penthouses in Abu Dhabi, Robson said: “There is no comparable product in Abu Dhabi at present. These penthouses provide significant value within the ultra-premium segment.”

Residents, according to the master developer, will have access to one of the largest landscaped podium at over 44,000 square metres with the exclusive rooftop offering walkways for jogging or strolling, children’s playgrounds, tennis courts and expansive lawn areas.

The penthouses are located on the 64th and 65th floors - the world’s highest penthouse bridge structure on a residential space.

The penthouses will have private swimming pools, while only limited units having their own ‘internal garden’.

The signature penthouses, however, will have an interior terrace with two-storey floor to ceiling glass windows.

The design of Gate Towers, which houses 3,533 apartments, is inspired by England’s Stonehenge.

According to Aldar, there are a total of 98 different sub-developments planned on Shams Abu Dhabi besides their own developments and facilities.
