Ramadan timings: Work hours

Emirates Post Group's 117 post offices across the UAE will remain open from Saturday to Thursday from 9am to 2pm during the holy month of Ramadan.

However, the selected post offices will observe extended timings from 9am to 6pm during the holy month.

All post offices will remain closed on Fridays during Ramadan, except the Dubai Airport Post Office, which will be open 24 hours as usual.

The EPG head office in Ramool and zonal administration offices will be open from 9am to 2pm only.

 

Malls, Emirates ID, Embassies…announce timings

Malls in Dubai have announced their timings for the holy month of Ramadan.

Dubai Mall will extend working hours from 10am to 2am. Dining outlets in the mall will be open until 3am for visitors to enjoy night gatherings and Suhour.

In addition, the mall said in a statement that “daily Iftar packs with mineral water, dates, Ramadan calendar and healthy fasting tips will also be distributed complimentary at all guest service desks from sunset till 3am”.

Mall of the Emirates official Facebook page says: "Enjoy more shopping and dining from 10am - 2am on weekdays and 10am - 3am on weekends." The timing will be the same for all MAF malls in the UAE.

MAF’s 17 shopping malls have kicked off a charity campaign titled ‘Make a Difference’ in partnership with the UAE’s Red Crescent Society. The campaign encourages visitors to donate funds, clothes, books, food and mobile phones to regional families in need. The MAF malls are City Centre Ajman, City Centre Deira, City Centre Fujairah, Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif City Centre Sharjah, My City Centre Nasseriya, and all four Matajer malls in Sharjah, plus malls in Bahrain, Egypt, Lebanon and Oman.

Dubai Marina Mall hours will be extended from 10am to 1am daily. The Food & Beverage outlets will be open from Iftar until mall closing hours. Some restaurants will also be open for take away and deliveries during the day.
 
Reflecting tradition, an Arabian Majlis style setting will also welcome visitors with Arabic delicacies and coffee, and juices from Iftar time until 10pm.
 
Underlining the spirit of generosity, Dubai Marina Mall has joined hands with Beit Al Khair Society and Noor Dubai Foundation to support charitable and humanitarian causes, assisting needy people around the world. The Beit Al Khair stand will be located on Level P, next to Waitrose supermarket and Noor Dubai Foundation will have a stand by Spinney’s supermarket.

Sahara Centre in Sharjah will be open 10am to 3pm and 8pm to 2am (Saturdays to Thursdays) and from 8pm to 2am on Fridays.

Food outlets or restaurants will start from Iftar to 2am (Saturdays to Fridays).

Mercato malls will remain open from 10am to 1am, with some shops open until 3am. Food outlets will open from iftar until 1am. Some restaurants might be open until 3am.

The mall has launched its ‘Donate and Feel Rewarded’ campaign, which encourages shoppers to “donate previously-loved items and non-perishable food to the less fortunate in the community”. All donations will be handed over to the Emirates Red Crescent.

Emirates Identity Authority timings are between 9am and 2pm, and 10am and 3pm. Their customer service centres will function in two shifts - 8am till 1pm, and 12.30 pm till 5.30 pm. The Centres that function in two shifts are the following: Al Wahda, Al Ain, Al Karama, Al Rashidiya, Al Barsha, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.

Branches that will function in single shift (9 am until 2 pm) are Madinat Zayed, Umm Al Quwain and Dhaid.

The timings for the Customer Services Centres attached to the Preventive Medicine Centres in Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman, Fujairah, Kalba, Khorfakkan, Dibba of Fujairah, Dhaid, Sharjah International Airport, Sharjah Industrial Area, Al Hamriya, Al Nasiriya and Al Baraha in Dubai are from 9 am until 2 pm. 

In the Al Quoz Centre, work will start at 7am and continue until 3pm. The Jabal Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) Centre will be open from 9 am until 3 pm. The Centre in Knowledge City will function from 8 am to 1 pm whereas the Al Ghubaiba Centre will receive customers from 9 am until 6.30 pm.

The Customer Services Centre attached to the Medical Fitness Centre in Muhaisinah in Dubai will function from 7am to 5pm, and from 10pm to 3am.  As for the Customer Services Centres attached to the Preventive Medicine Centres in Abu Dhabi, the work hours in the Musaffah and Al Jazeera Club Centres will be from 8am until 2pm, whereas the Khalifa Medical City Customer Services Centre will function from 8am until 5pm. The centres in the Western Region in Madinat Zayed and Ghayathi will be open from 9am until 2pm.

Philippines Embassy in Abu Dhabi: Ramadan timings are from 8am to 1pm. For visa application, timings are specifically from 9am to noon. For passport extension and document authentication, timings are from 8am to 11am.

Indian Embassy: Will maintain regular working hours, Sunday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm. Consular services will also remain from 9am until 12pm.

British Embassy: Will maintain regular working hours, Sunday to Thursday Sunday to Thursday, 730am to 2.30pm

Sri Lankan Embassy: Hours remain same, with the embassy open from Monday to Friday, from 9am until 2pm. The offices are closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Consulate General of Pakistan has announced Ramadan timings: The consular service (MRP/Nadra/Manual Passports and Attestation Section) will start at 7am to 1pm from Sunday to Thursday. Rest of the offices will remain open from 8am to 2pm during working days.

Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry has announced new working hours for its headquarters, branch and representative offices during Ramadan.

The modified working hours are effective from 1st of Ramadan, at the Chamber head office, Jebel Ali Branch and representative offices in Dubai Airport Free Zone (DAFZ) and Al Aweer from 8am to 2pm Sunday to Thursday.

The main office and the Jebel Ali Branch will also be functioning from 8am to 1pm on Saturdays to facilitate the business community complete their important business documentation over the weekend.

Meanwhile, Dubai Chamber’s representative office in Jafz (Building 14) will be operating from 8am to 2pm from Sunday to Thursday.
