Australia v West Indies ODI 'live' cricket score: Australia beat WI by five wickets

Australia cruised to a five-wicket win over West Indies in the fourth ODI at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Friday.

Chasing 221 for victory Australia achieved their target in 44.5 overs to register their fourth successive victory in the five-match series.

Watson continued his good showing with the bat scoring 76, while the rest of the top order made valuable contributions.

Sunil Narine was the pick of the West Indies bowlers with figures of 10-1-34-2.

Earlier, Kieron Pollard blasted an unbeaten 109 after West Indies won the toss and elected to bat.

But Mitchell Johnson ran amok bagging the top three wickets and later Ben Cutting chipped in with another three to have the visitors reeling at 98 for 7.

Pollard got off to a sedate start but once wickets kept tumbling at the other end he cut loose slamming 11 fours and two sixes to give West Indies' total some respectability.

However, it was a case of too little too late for the Caribbean outfit as they once again showed some spinless batting.

Matthew Wade pulls Russell over backward square-leg for a six off the first ball he faced to take Australia past the 200-run mark.

Voges pulls an innocuous looking delivery from Russell to Sammy. Australia are 198 for 4 but Clarke is looking good with 32 as the hosts inch closer to their victory target.

Australia inch closer towards their fourth successive win over West Indies in the five-match series. After 40 overs the hosts are placed at 194 for 3, needing another 27 runs for victory with Clarke batting on 29 and Voges on 28.

Clarke and Adam Voges steer Australia to 166 for 3.

Watson falls to Best after scoring a 84-ball 76 which had nine fours in it. Australia still need another 76 runs from 21 overs.

Sunil Narine keeps West Indies' hopes alive with his second wicket, that of Hughes caught at first slip by Bravo. Australia 117 for 2 after 24 overs chasing 221 for victory.

Shane Watson continues his good form with another half century as Australia look set to chase down 220 after cruising at 106 for 1 from 21 overs.

Australia are on track in pursuit of their target reaching 99 for 1 after 20 overs with Watson unbeaten on 48 and Phil Hughes on 14.

Narine strikes in his first over getting the wicket of Finch. Australia 54 for 1.

Set a target of 221 for victory, Australia begin their chase in right earnest scoring 50 for no loss after nine overs.

Earlier, Kieron Pollard hit an unbeaten ton as West Indies were bundled out for 220 by Australia in the fourth ODI at the Sydney Cricket ground on Friday.

Pollard slammed 11 fours and two sixes for his third ODI century in 72 matches to revive West Indies after Mitchell Johnson and Ben Cutting bagged three wickets each to put Australia in command.

Australia lead the five-match series 3-0.

Pollard came to the crease after Mitchell Johnson send the top three batsmen -- Powell, Charles and Bravo -- back to the pavilion with the West Indies reeling at 17 for 3.

The otherwise explosive batsman played a defiant knock and in the company of Darren Sammy, Andre Russell and Sunil Narine ensured West Indies gave their bowlers something to defend.

Tino Best is run out as West Indies end their innings at 220 in 49.4 overs.

Pollard hits McKay for a six and then takes a single to get to his third ODI century in 72 matches. What an innings it has been from the strapping West Indian.

McKay breaks the partnership when he gets Narine to defend one to wicket-keeper Wade. Narine did well to revive the West Indies innings scoring 23 in a 64-run partnership with Pollard.

Pollard moves into the nineties. West Indies would have wished he played such an innings in the previous matches.

Pollard and Narine go after Faulkner with the former punching him over wide long on for a big six and then Narine thumping him for a four. Two wide balls didn't help Faulkner's cause as he conceded 16 runs.

Pollard begins to go after the bowlers, this time it is Cutting who faces the stick as the West Indian blasts him for three fours in an over to take his team to 181 for 8.

Pollard is looking good at 75 with nine boundaries and Sunil Narine is giving him good company with 18 from 19 balls.

Have to wait and see what Pollard dishes out in the last five overs.

Pollard looks in good touch slamming Faulkner for two successive fours. Pollard will need to go for some more big hits if West Indies are to put up a challenging total.

Pollard brings up the 100 for West Indies after hitting Cutting for a boundary.

Sammy departs after edging one to Clarke at first slip off Ben Cutting, who bags his third wicket.

The West Indies skipper put on 43 runs for the seventh wicket with Pollard but the visitors are still not out of the woods, struggling at 98 for 7.

Sammy and Pollard take West Indies to 88 for 6 after 30 overs.

Cutting and Finch are at it again, this time getting Devon Thomas out.

Thomas tries to defend a short of length ball from Cutting but manages to guide it to Finch at second slip.

Australia in total command here as disaster strikes for West Indies after they lose their sixth wicket. The visitors are hopelessly placed at 56 for 6 after 20 overs.

Deonarine after playing and missing time and again from the moment he got to the crease finally edges one to Finch at second slip off the bowling of Ben Cutting. West Indies 55 for 5 after 19 overs.

Kieron Pollard spanks Johnson for two consecutive fours as West Indies prod along to 42 for 4 after 15 overs.

Narsingh Deonarine gives Pollard good company with 10 from 10 balls.

It's all gloom for West Indies as their star batsman Dwayne Bravo is rapped on the pads by Glenn Maxwell and is given out LBW.

Johnson strikes twice in the 8th over, getting rid of Kieran Powell and Darren Bravo. Australia clearly on top as West Indies in trouble here at 18 for 3 after 10 overs.

Mitchell Johnson, coming in for Starc, makes his presence felt in his second over by sending Johnson Charles' off-stump cart-wheeling with an inswinger which the West Indian opener failed to read.

West Indies are 8 for 1 after five overs.

Clint McKay has bowled a maiden to Kieran Powell in the opening over of the match.

West Indies have won the toss and elected to bat in the fourth one-day international against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Friday.

Australia will be without George Bailey with Adam Voges taking his place while Ben Cutting replaces Mitchell Starc.

West Indies have made three changes with Johnson Charles, Deonarine and El Tino coming in for Chris Gayle, Ramnaresh Sarwan and Kemar Roach.

Australia took a winning 3-0 lead in the series with a 39-run win at Canberra on Wedesday.
