India's cricket selectors have wielded the axe following the two humiliating defeats suffered at the hands of England in the ongoing Test series.

England coasted to a seven-wicket victory in the third Test which concluded in Kolkata on Sunday to take an unassailable 2-1 lead in the four-match series.

Pace spearhead aheer Khan and batsman Yuvraj Singh are missing from the squad named for the fourth and final Test against England starting on Thursday in Nagpur.

Uttar Pradesh all-rounder Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Awana were the two new faces named in the squad for the two Twenty20 matches to be held in Pune (December 20) and Mumbai (December 22).
