Special awards went to Adeel Safvi (Best Bowler) of Standard Chartered Bank who picked up 10 wickets for seven runs, Shamnan Anwar (Best Batsman) of Desert King who scored 88 runs in four games and Binay Raj (Best all-rounder) of Screen Check Googly who made 78 runs and picked up 10 wickets for 14 runs.

Buoyed by the success of the first indoor cricket tournament, the  ICC Global Cricket Academy supported by the DCC announced that they would be conducting a second tournament during the month of Ramadan in which 16 teams would be participating.

Tournament Director and former New Zealand cricketer Dayle Hadlee said: "We did have teething problems at the outset,  but with the feed-back we received from all the participating teams we were able to put up good playing conditions and we are happy with the results we have seen with the first tournament we organised  and this impetus has pushed us into organising many more such tournaments at the ICC GCA."

Lokhandwala addressing the gathering said: "DCC  has been involved with conducting  outdoor cricket for more than 30 years, but with our tie-up with ICC GCA  we are delighted to support them with conducting indoor cricket in this huge 1,000 square metres  indoor court which will provide participants with a unique experience as it has a mix of indoor and outdoor rules."

The 12-over tournament figuring 16 teams  from August 3 to 18 will see every team playing three league matches and the top two teams going on to the knock out rounds. The winning team will be awarded Dh3,000 and the runners-up Dh1,500 in addition to individual awards for the Best Bowler, Best Batsman and the Best All-rounder.
