Seven Seas Strikers defeated Enoc by 36 runs to lift the 2nd Farid Malik Memorial seven-a-side cricket tournament held at the Dubai Investment Park Seven Seas Sports Club ground.
The tournament was held to commemorate the second death anniversary of Umpire Farid Malik and his contribution to promoting the game in this region.
It was conceived and organised by Freddy Sidhwa and senior UAE Umpire Tariq Butt and held under the auspices of Dubai Cricket Council.
Prizes were distributed by senior UAE umpire Butt along with Sidhwa after the final.
Malik would be sorely missed and will be remembered for his outstanding commitment for the sport in UAE.
Sidhwa announced that he intends to continue this memorial tournament in the coming years as well.
In the match, Seven Seas Strikers scored 93 for the loss of one wicket in their allotted five overs. Chasing, Enoc managed just 57 runs in 5 overs.
