Swapnil Patil and Shaiman Butt slammed superb half-centuries to guide Yogi Group to a facile 61-run victory over Fly Emirates in a quarter-final of the 23rd Sharjah Ramadan Tournament for the Interface Transworld Cup at the Sharjah stadium on Saturday night.

The tournament, organised by the Sharjah Cricket Council, is supported by 106.2 HUM FM and CBFS as associate sponsors.
Patil, a former Mumbai Ranji Trophy player, scored 56 off as many balls with two fours and three sixes while Butt, the more aggressive of the two, made 54 off just 33 balls with four fours and three sixes as Yogi Group, batting first, made 166.
Nigel Fernandes had rich return of five wickets and Amjad Javed claimed three for 14, but their efforts failed to prevent Yogi Group from seizing the early initiative.
Fly Emirates, in reply, were let down by their batsmen who just failed to negotiate a spot-on Yogi Group attack. Only Lalith Dahanayake (33 not out off 37) and Mohammed Iqbal (21 off eight balls with three sixes) were among the runs.
Salman Faris, Kamran Shehzad and Ambey Parwatkar all bowled well, taking three wickets each as Fly Emirates were bowled out for a modest 105 in the 19th over.
