Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner, on loan at Sunderland, is eyeing a move to the Russian Premier League.
The 24-year-old Denmark international's contract with the Gunners expires at the end of the season and he is likely to leave the club.
He is keen to follow in the path of Arsenal midfielder Andrey Arshavin who has joined Zenit St Petersburg on loan and Blackburn defender Christopher Samba who joined Anzhi Makhachkala.
“There are a lot of very strong players going to Russia, players who previously wouldn’t have done so,” Bendtner said. “They play great football there.
“I am fine for the moment and I will look at the options available to me when the time comes.
“You can never say never in football.”
