Arsenal's Laurent Koscielny could get a shock call-up by France against England, according to The Sun.

The Gunners centre-half gave an impressive performance after picking up only his second cap in the 2-0 win over Serbia.

He is being considered by France boss Laurent Blanc because Milan defender Philippe Mexes has been in poor form.

France play at home to Estonia in their final warm-up before travelling to Ukraine ahead of Monday’s Euro 2012 clash against Roy Hodgson’s men.

Blanc said: “Koscielny had a good game against Serbia, that’s good for him. But I don’t have any guarantees in defence.”

Koscielny will also try to persuade France team-mate Yann M’Vila to join him at Arsenal.

The Rennes midfielder, 21, has been linked with a summer switch and Koscielny said: “Yann is strong and has great vision.”

Meanwhile, Manchester City defender Gael Clichy could earn his 13th cap in place of Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra.

Blanc added: “Going forward Clichy brings a lot to the team, but he still has to work on the defensive side.

“That’s the case with most modern full-backs, including Evra, they’re better going forward.
