Arsenal split: Wilshere vs Frimpong over Nasri

Samir Nasri may be gone, but the impact of his leaving is having a divisive effect on an already beleaguered Arsenal team.

Midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong hinted at tension within the  ranks yesterday in a Twitter exchange with team-mate Jack Wilshere.

Wilshere tweeted: ‘Good luck to my friend @Nanas08 (mr Nasri) learnt a lot from him. World class player! Will be missed!’

Frimpong replied: ‘Pffffff come on Jack.’ 

Wenger was not entirely happy with the decision to sell when the deal coincided with news of Jack Wilshere's latest injury setback, adding to the sense that the relationship between manager and board is becoming strained. 

Frimpong, 19, hit out at the Frenchman who will now rake in £175k a week. Midfielder Frimpong tweeted: "Money is the root of all evil," after Arsenal announced the move on their website yesterday.
