Which is why Gunners fans will be thrilled at the news that Wenger is plotting a move for Brazilian midfielder Paulinho.

According to a report in the Times, Wenger is preparing a £9 million bid for the 23-year-old, currently playing for Corinthians.

By Wenger standards that is a lot of money for a potential talent.
