Bebe has been given a chance to revive his career at Old Trafford after being named in Manchester United's squad for their tour of South Africa and China.

The 22-year-old failed to make an impact in his first season at Old Trafford, then spent last term on loan at Besiktas for a campaign blighted by injury troubles.

With Sir Alex Ferguson looking for a long-term replacement to Nani, Bebe gets a perfect opportunity to cement his position.

Injured defenders Chris Smalling and Jonny Evans are notable absentees, but new signing Shinji Kagawa will get the chance to impress, according to the Daily Mail.

Rio Ferdinand will captain a squad which includes senior players Michael Carrick, Paul Scholes and Javier Hernandez as well as a host of youngsters.

Squad: Lindegaard, Amos, Johnstone; Ferdinand, Veseli, Vermijl, Wootton, Blackett; Valencia, Anderson, Carrick, Scholes, Powell, Kagawa, Bebe, Tunnicliffe, Lingard, Brady, Petrucci; Berbatov, Hernandez, Macheda.
