Liverpool launch amazing attack for Tello, Sahin

Brendan Rodgers is plotting a double raid for La Liga talent Cristian Tello and Nuri Sahin.

He has splashed out £25 million to take striker Fabio Borini and midfielder Joe Allen to Merseyside.

Now he wants to complete a treble by swooping on Barcelona winger Tello who has failed to hold a regular place.

A season-long loan with the promise of a transfer at the end of it is the likeliest deal to bring Tello to Merseyside, with 12 months remaining on his contract, according to The Sun.

But the fact there has also been interest from Arsenal, Malaga, Benfica and Ajax could force Rodgers into a permanent deal, which would cost around £5m.

Liverpool are also closing in on Real Madrid’s versatile Nuri Sahin.

The Turkish midfielder failed to make an impact at the Bernabeu since he moved from Borussia Dortmund 12 months ago.

And although featuring regularly on Real’s pre-season trip to the USA, manager Jose Mourinho is prepared to let him go.

Arsenal and Spurs have both shown an interest, but the fact Rodgers has a good relationship with Mourinho from their time together at Chelsea could swing another season-long loan Liverpool’s way.
