All the talk about Liverpool not having enough of fire power is going to finally rest on the boots of two young stars Brendan Rodgers signed up for his Anfield tiki-taka revolution.

That Rodgers has not been rushed into playing them speaks volumes for his belief in the system he is installing and his reliance on the likes of Steven Gerrard, Joe Allen and a re-emerging Jonjo Shelvey.

If it is Barcelona that Rodgers is bringing to Liverpool than surely that trio, or a midfield trio will be the heart of all that happens.

This leaves the Kop waiting for help to arrive for the forlorn and battling Luis Suarez upfront.

Fabio Borini has gone from lukewarm to cold and might now take an entire season to adjust to the demands of the Premier League and the pressure that comes from wearing a Liverpool shirt.

This brings us to two of Rodgers attacking signings.

Ousamma Assaidi and Samed Yesil.

Rodgers is ready to play Yesil in Thursday’s Europa League opener at Young Boys Berne.

Rodgers said: “Yesil will certainly be involved.

“I saw him play against England Under-19s, and he scored two terrific goals and set up another.”

Liverpool have paid £1million for the 18-year old German, 18, and with the shoving out of Andy Carroll becoming a haze of the past, one thing is for certain, the Kop will not be denied entertaining football.

The £3million Heerenveen winger Oussama Assaidi is on his way back from injury.

If Yesil clicks and Assaidi returns, Liverpool might suddenly have a choice of strikers. Throw Raheem Sterling into that mix and Rodgers’ revolution just might spark into life.
