Manchester United's bid to sign Brazil superstar Lucas Moura seems to have run into hurdles on two fronts.

Cash-rich French club Paris Saint German have joined the race to land Sao Paolo’s £30million-rated starlet, according to The Sun.

On the other hand, Old Trafford are unwilling to cough up a sum of £6 million in fees as demanded by the player's agent Wagner Ribeiro, the Daily Mirror reported.

PSG have the financial clout to hijack United target Moura.

The 19-year old midfielder is set to feature at Old Trafford on Tuesday night in Brazil’s Olympic semifinal against South Korea.

His agent insists there is no deal yet in place.

Ribeiro said: “First they said Lucas was at Manchester United, now they say he belongs to PSG.

“Everyone is trying to build their story like a jigsaw puzzle.”

United were happy to pay Moura's club, Sao Paulo, £25m for the midfielder.

The snag has been the ‘extras’ wanted by his agent and the teenager's relatives, which pushed the cost of the deal too high for all concerned.

With United seemingly out of the picture, Moura is now set to join Paris Saint-Germain, according to Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti.

Inter have also been linked with Moura, but Moratti says they cannot compete with the £32m that PSG have offered Sao Paulo for the teenager.
