Juventus are on the brink of signing teenage midfielder Paul Pogba from Manchester United, according to reports.

Pogba has revealed he is in Turin to complete his transfer to Italian champions Juventus.

The 19-year-old turned down the offer of a new contract with United and could become Juve's first summer signing.

"I am thinking about my future, I am in Italy with Juventus to discuss my transfer," Pogba wrote on Twitter, the UK Press Association reported.

Pogba left Le Havre to join United's youth academy in 2009. He made just three league appearances for the Red Devils last season.

He had been unhappy at Old Trafford and keeping Sir Alex Ferguson in suspense for several months on extending his deal with his current contract set to expire this summer.

He has finally decided against continuing at Manchester United.

Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta claimed earlier the Serie A champions discussions are in the advanced stages, with Juve waiting on an answer from the 19-year-old.

"We have lured him away from Manchester United," he told Corriere dello Sport.

"We respected the rules. Pogba, for his own reasons, didn't intend to renew. We informed the club and we are now waiting for an answer. Talks are well advanced."
