Modric to Real opens Kaka for Man Utd

Real seal £26.9 million deal for the Croatia playmaker

Luka Modric will move to Real Madrid who sealed a £26.9 million deal for the midfielder on Sunday night, according to the Daily Mail.

The fee paid for the Croatian playmaker is reportedly below the expectations of Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy who was hoping for a figure in the region of £35m.

Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas re-invest the funds into signing Willian of Shakhtar Donetsk and  Leandro Damiao of Internacional before the transfer window closes on Friday.

Fulham’s Moussa Dembele is also much admired at White Hart Lane.

Modric's arrival at Real Madrid could pave the way for out-of-favour Brazilian moving out to England.

It was reported earlier that the attacking midfielder has been offered to Manchester United on a season-long loan.

After Yaya Toure at City and Eden Hazard’s strong showing at Chelsea, United may seriously consider Kaka as a timely boost.

Galatasaray and Kaka’s former club AC Milan are also interested in the 2007 World Player of the Year, but United will be the biggest draw for the Brazilian.
