They may not like to admit it at Old Trafford, but Carlos Tevez has been a pain in the neck for Manchester United.

He has been disrespectful on more than occasion, but has still managed to be on the team that stole the title away from United.

Which is why the news this morning that Real Madrid, no less, want Carlos Tevez, is sure to warm the hearts of Sir Alex Ferguson & Co.

While Tevez leaving Manchester City may be good news for the red half of Manchester, it will be bad news for a London club.

City’s planned exit for Tevez could only mean one thing – space is being created for Robin Van Persie.

This website had reported earlier that City would look to sell as many as four of its forwards to make it possible for Van Persie to move to the Etihad, both in terms of the cheque book and the field positions.

While Arsenal want £30million for their Dutch hitman, City are reportedly willing to pay closer to £20million.

However, post disappointing Euros for Van Persie, a £20million tag might not seem that bad.

According to The Sub, City have priced Tevez at £25m and the Argentine has two years left on his £198,000-a-week deal.
