Real Madrid have joined the chase to sign Porto striker Hulk who is wanted by at least four English clubs, according to the player's agent Teodoro Fonseca.

Chelsea is the preferred destination for Hulk who has expressed his desire to move to the Premier League.

The European champions have been tipped to make the £35 million-rated hot shot their next signing, after wrapping up a £32m deal for Lille playmaker Eden Hazard.

Manchester United, City and Arsenal are also interested in the powerful striker.

Fonseca is heading to England for talks with prospective club but he has warned that Jose Mourinho is monitoring developments, according to the Daily Mail.

The Madrid manager was in Germany to watch Brazil’s 3-1 win against Denmark on Saturday, with the Spanish press reporting that he was taking a closer look at Sao Paulo playmaker Lucas Moura.

However, the 19-year-old had a quiet game and is unlikely to leave Brazil for another two years - and Fonseca claimed Mourinho was really focused on Hulk.

"Jose Mourinho was not there for a stroll," said Fonseca. "Mourinho was in Hamburg to see several players and, of course, he also went to see Hulk. It was he who stood out."

Hulk dazzled in the first half, scoring two and putting pressure on Niki Zimling to score the other (an own goal).
