Liverpool seem to be stuck with butter-fingered Pepe Reina at least until January despite reports he was seeking an exit from Anfield.

The Spanish international has come under increasing pressure following a series of performances at goal highlighted by the two goals he leaked against Arsenal.

Liverpool were on alert after France goalkeeper Hugo Lloris pondered his options barely 10 days after his £12 million move to Tottenham.

This followed Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas dropping a major clanger by insisting that Brad Friedel will remain his No.1 keeper even after Lloris’ arrival.

However, the agent of Reina has poured cold water on suggestions that the Spaniard was on his way out after a mixed start to the new campaign.

Swansea's Dutch goalkeeper Michel Vorm was also linked with a move to Anfield but Reina's agent, Manuel Garcia Quilon, was keen to stress that his client has no desire to leave Liverpool.

He told CalcioMercato: "There is no problem right now. Pepe has played many games in the Liverpool shirt and is used to all kinds of rumours.

"It is clear he is not having an easy time because the team has not started the season well and liability is falling on him.

"But this will end when he returns to form. He still has four years to run on his contract and rumors of leaving Liverpool are just that - rumours."
