Wayne Rooney has dismissed speculation he is leaving Manchester United as "absolute rubbish".
With the transfer window due to close on Friday, reports have suggested Rooney's future lies away from Old Trafford.
There were reports of tension between the striker and boss Alex Ferguson during pre-season.
That led to the star being dropped for the visit of Fulham on Saturday leading to question marks over his Old Trafford future.
Rooney himself said via his Twitter account on Wednesday night: “Heard what people have to say — absolute rubbish #heartostay. Here sorry.”
Ferguson has already insisted the England striker, currently out of action with a leg injury sustained in Saturday's defeat of Fulham, remains in his plans.
The arrival of £24 million star Robin van Persie means Fergie has plenty of striking options in his squad, including Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez.
