'Sad' Ronaldo disappoints Man Utd fans

Real star takes to Facebook to reaffirm his future at Bernabeu

Cristiano Ronaldo has shot down speculation of a return to Manchester United by pledging his future to Real Madrid, according to reports.

The former Manchester United star claimed to be feeling “sad” before the international break and did not celebrate after scoring a brace against Granada in the La Liga.

This triggered speculation in the Spanish media that the 27-year-old, who has scored 150 goals in 149 matches for Real, was eager to leave the Bernabeu, while a new improved contract was also mooted as a possible reason for Ronaldo's discontent.

PSG and Anzhi Makhachkala hovering and reports that Alex Ferguson wanted him back at Old Trafford.

However, just days before facing Manchester City in the Champions League, the Portuguese star used Facebook to insist he is happy.

“I would like to reaffirm, without worrying about contracts, that my focus is on winning every game and every trophy with my team-mates and all Madridistas,” he said.
