Spurs to snatch Hulk from Chelsea

Perhaps Andre Vilas-Boas needs reminding that Tottenham Hotspur’s favourite enemy is Arsenal.

AVB might have his own personal beef with Chelsea after he was shown the door last season (the club went on to win the Champions League, no less).

For now though, Spurs’ Portuiguese manager seems intent on storming the Blues’ party in the transfer window.

This site has been innundated with comments from Chelsea fans pleading with Roberto Di Matteo to get Hulk from Porto – seen as a fitting replacement for Didier Drogba.

However, the Daily Mail today reported that AVB and Spurs have jumped in to the Hulk deal and are ready to pry him away from Chelsea.

The Spurs boss has also not given up on Internacional striker Leandro Damiao and is also keen on Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao, both possible Chelsea targets.

He is also mulling a bid for Malaga striker Jose Salomon Rondon.

No surprise. Rondon, 22, is also a target of Chelsea and Arsenal.

The Brazilian Hulk arrived in London on Tuesday night as part of the Olympic team contingent who are due to face Great Britain on Friday.

The fact that Villas-Boas has coached the player during his tenure at Porto might make him a favourite to land the striker.

With new signing Jan Vertonghen, Rafael Van der Vaart commiting to stay and Emmanuel Adebayor on his way, AVB is putting together a formidable team.

Chelsea may have won the Oscar, but if Spurs get Hulk there will be only one blockbuster.
