Manchester City have this morning confirmed that Argentinian Carlos Tévez has signed up for the Italian club Juventus, bringing an end to his four-year-stay in northwest England.

“Carlos Tévez has signed for Juventus, bringing an end to his four-year stay at the Club,” Man city said on its website. “After 148 appearances and 73 goals for City, Tévez has agreed a three-year deal with the reigning Serie A champions,” the Manchester City official site said.

“During that time, Tévez captained City to the 2011 FA Cup triumph and scored some vital goals in the latter part of the 2011/12 season to help the Club lift the Premier League title,” it said, adding: “Everyone at Manchester City wishes Carlos the best of luck in Italy and thanks him for his important contributions.”

Tévez’s 3-year deal with Juventus is rumoured to be worth £13.5 million ($21 million).

Italian club Juventus too confirmed the news late yesterday by posting a video titled ‘Carlos Tévez joins Juventus’ that showed Tevez accepting the coveted No. 10 jersey of the club. An official announcement will be shortly made at a press meet this afternoon.

“Juventus Football Club wishes to announce that new signing Carlos Tévez will be presented to the media this morning at Juventus Stadium from 11.30am (CET) onwards,” the official Juventus.com said. That’s 1.30pm UAE time.

“The full news conference is to be streamed live across the club’s social media platforms and will be accessible to our international fan base through an exclusive simultaneous English translation service,” it added.

Manchester city have been eyeing Malanga playermaker Isco for a while now, with Real Madrid also reportedly now going after the player.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez said today that Isco will sign for the Spanish giants next week. While Isco has so far rebuffed all claims about his transfer, the player did say earlier this week that a move to real Madrid will be an “exciting option”.

That, however, could well be a smokescreen for an eventful move to Manchester City. So which one will it be?
