Manchester United will have the choice of playing Robin van Persie today against Wigan, after the Dutch striker was declared fit on Saturday.

However, the real good news is for United’s midfield.

Darren Fletcher is also poised to make his first-team return having not played since November.

The midfielder, coming back from a chronic bowel condition, played for United's reserves earlier this week.

Shinji Kagawa is also available for section.

But Fletcher back will given United’s midfield a huge boost, given that it has been run-over by the likes of Everton and Southampton.

“Darren Fletcher is in the squad. At this moment in time everything looks fine,” Ferguson at the pre-match press conference.
