IPL SRH vs RPS: Dhoni's Supergiants win by 34 runs (D/L method)

Rising Pune Supergiants bounced back from four losses to beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 34 runs under the D/L method in a rain-marred IPL match in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

Chasing a modest target of 119, RPS lost Rahane for a duck.

Faf du Plessis (30)  and Steven Smith (46 not out) featured in a stand of 80 for the second wicket as they cruised towards the target.

They had reached 94-3 in 11 overs when another burst of rain finally halted play.

Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad recovered to make 118 for 8 thanks to an unbeaten half century from Shikhar Dhawan (56)  after being put into bat by Rising Pune Supergiants and the match began after a rain delay.

Dinda playing his first match wreaked havoc to return figures of 4-1-23-3.

SRH had lost half the side for just 32 in the ninth over after losing Warner in the fourth ball of the match.

Ojha (18) added 47 with Dhawan before Bhuvneshwar hit some lusty blows in his eight-ball 21.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar hammers a boundary and six off Dinda. SRH 105-7, 19 overs.

Bipul Sharma run out 5 (5b)

Dhawan completes his half century in style slamming Thisara for a six over long on. SRH 92-6, 18 overs.

Dinda picks up his third wicket as Ojha swings and misses. SRH 79-6, 16.3 overs.
