Playing XI

RPS: Rahane, Saurabh Tiwary, Steven Smith, Dhoni, Thisara Perera, Handscomb, Bhatia, Boland, Ravi Ashwin, Dinda, Murugan Ashwin

MI: Rohit Sharma, Parthiv Patel, Rayudu, Krunal Pandya, Buttler, Pollard, Hardik Pandya, Harbhajan, Bumrah, Southee,  McClenaghan

Rising Pune Supergiants seek their first home win when they clash with the Mumbai Indians in Match 29 of IPL9 at MCA International Stadium, Pune on Sunday.

RPS have just two wins from seven outings with bowling being a concern though being handicapped by injuries stars such as Kevin Pietersen and Faf du Plessis who have been ruled out of the rest of the season.

Dhoni will need to marshal his resources after failing to defend a total of 195 in the last match against table toppers Gujarat Lions.

Mumbai have rebounded after a poor start to the season.

The defending champions won only one of their initial four matches, but have since won three of their next four.

In their final match in front of their home crowd at the Wankhede Stadium, MI defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders in style thanks to a 17-ball blitz from West Indian Kieron Pollard.

However, MS Dhoni’s Supergiants will be buoyed by the fact they caused an upset of sorts in the season opener against Mumbai.
