IPL8 MI vs CSK: Chennai thrash Mumbai by 6 wickets

Chennai Super Kings thrashed Mumbai Indians by six wickets under lights in their own den at the Wankhede Stadium in Match 11 of the IPL8 on Friday.

Chasing a target of 184, Mumbai were blown away by a blitzkreig opening stand of 109 in just 7.2 overs by Dwayne Smith (62) and Brendon McCullum (46) as Chennai replied with 189-4 in 16.4 overs.

Chennai blasted the second highest Batting Powerplay score of 90-0 with Malinga going for 40.

Raina remained unbeaten on 43 to steer CSK home for their third consecutive win.

Smith hammered four sixes and eight boundaries while McCullum slammed two sixes and six boundaries.

Earlier, Mumbai recovered to make 183-7 recovering from 12-3 thanks to half centuries from skipper Rohit Sharma (50) and Kieron Pollard (64).

There were also superb cameos from Harbhajan (24) and Rayudu (29).

Nehra claimed three for 23 while Bravo snared two for 30
