IPL9 DD vs KXIP: Delhi rout Punjab

Amit Mishra impressed in his 100th IPL match with four wickets and opener Quinton de Kock struck a half century as Delhi Daredevils outplayed Kings XI Punjab by eight wickets at the Feroz Shah Kotla ground on Friday.

Samson charges out to clobber Patel and misses and is bowled. Delhi 100-2, 13 overs.

Sanju Samson b Patel 33 (32b 3x4 1x6)

De Kock seems in a hurry to finish the match, hitting Johnson for a six and two fours to bring up his 50. Delhi 96-1, 12 overs.

Maxwell comes in for some harsh treatment from Samson as he hits back-to-back boundaries. Delhi 79-1, 11 overs.

Samson's nerves seem to have settled as he spanks Mohit over his head. Delhi 68-1, 10 overs. 

Sahu is pulled over long on for a maximum by Samson. Delhi 60-1, 9 overs.

The fifty comes up for Delhi after De Kock hammers Axar Patel for three boundaries. Delhi 50-1, 8 overs.

De Kock survives a stumping chance after Pradeep Sahu beats him with a flighted delivery but Saha is caught napping behind the stumps. Delhi 38-1, 7 overs.

De Kock survives a dropped catch by Murali Vijay and then makes Patel pay for it with a four later. Delhi 20-1, 5 overs.

Iyer chases a ball down the leg side, gets an edge and Saha takes the catch. Delhi 9-1, 2.1 overs.

Quinton de Kock sets the tone for Punjab's chase with a four off Sandeep Sharma. Delhi 6-0, 1 over.

Amit Mishra's four wickets in his 100th IPL match was the key to Delhi Daredevils restricting Kings XI Punjab to a paltry 112 in the IPL match at Feroz Shah Kotla ground.

Mishra received good suport from Zaheer Khan and Chris Morris.

Manan Vohra top-scored for Punjab with 32 while Pradeep Sahu played a cameo at the end with an unbeaten 18.

Johnson misses and Morris hits. KXIP 99-9, 19 overs.

Punjab will be hoping to get another 20 runs at least in the last two overs. KXIP 96-8, 18 overs.

Mohit goes for a big one, top edges it and Morris takes the catch. KXIP 90-8, 17.1 overs.

Punjab have three overs left to put on a respectable total. KXIP 90-7, 17 overs.

Mohit Sharma gets after Yadav from the word go, hitting him for a six and a four. KXIP 85-7, 16 overs.

Negi takes a superb catch at backward point and Patel is gone.

Punjab need a player who can come and throw his bat around. KXIP 73-6, 15 overs.

Good fielding from Duminy who lunges forward and with one hand hits the stumps to catch Saha off his ground. KXIP. 65-6, 13 overs.

Mishra is on a roll. This time Vohra fails to read his googly. KXIP 59-5. 11 overs.

Delhi have kept Punjab quiet. KXIP 58-4, 10 overs.

Mishra's on a roll, tempting Maxwell to go for a big heave but the ball lands in Brathwaite's hands at long off. KXIP 54-4, 9 overs.

Mishra strikes a big blow to get rid of captain Miller, trapping him plumb. KXIP 52-3, 8.1 overs.

Vohra tries to pull Morris, miscues and the ball goes over de Kock for four. KXIP 52-2, 8 overs.

Manan Vohra cuts loose with three boundaries of Carlos Brathwaite who goes for 14 runs in his frist over.

Marsh finds the gap to send Zaheer to the ropes. A welcome boundary after runs were hard to come by. Punjab 23-1, 5 overs.

Slow start from Punjab as Zaheer and Chris Morris have kept it tight. Punjab 17-1, 4 overs. 

A dropped catch by captain Zaheer Khan resulted in a comical run-out of Murali Vijay. Punjab 12-1, 1.2 overs.

Zaheer Khan makes two changes to the Delhi squad. Jayant Yadav and JP Duminy replace Nathan Coultner-Nile and Mayank Agarwal.

David Miller has made one change with Shaun Marsh coming in for Marcus Stoinis.
