16 teams in Aseel Islamic Finance Sharjah Ramadan Cup

The Sharjah Cricket Council will host the Aseel Islamic Finance Sharjah Ramadan Cup 2014 Twenty20 cricket tournament.

All matches will be played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

The tournament will go on till July 19.

A total of 16 teams will participate in the tournament divided into four groups consisting of four teams each as 31 matches in total will be conducted.

Each team will play the other in their respective group and the top two teams from each group will qualify for the knock out stage, the quarter-finals.

Two matches will be played each day with the first starting at 8pm and the second match beginning at 11:15pm and the entry for spectators is free.

Head of Customer Relations of Aseel Islamic Finance - Mohammad Al Muhairi at a function organized to release the players kits said: “We are happy to be associated with the Sharjah Cricket Council for this tournament and would hope to continue with the relationship in the future. We wish all the teams and players all the best.”

While thanking Aseel Islamic Finance for their support, Sharjah Cricket Council Joint Secretary Mansoor Pasha said: “We are delighted to have Aseel Islamic Finance as our sponsors and would thank them for their support.”

Group B: Yogi Group, Interface Transworld, Multiplex, Dubai Airports;

Group C: Alubond Tigers, GMW Royal, Al Jabeen Hero, Danube Lions;

Group D: Danube Tigers, Lanka Lions, Unicon Real Estate, Al Fara'a.
