Xpress Money has kick-started the 8th edition of Xpress Money-Insportz Club Indoor Cricket League.
The tournament began on January 20 with 70 teams, across four divisions (Premier B, C, D) competing for the championship trophies.
Sandpiper,DMG Events, The Assassins, Little Masters, Serial Killers, Dulsco and Night Owl won their opening matches.
The participating teams will play over 150 matches over a period of two months.
Each team in each division will battle it out to be named the champion of its division.
There will be four championship trophies in total for each division. The final matches will be played on March 18 at Insportz Club, Al Quoz, Dubai where the winners will be declared.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Sudhesh Giriyan, Vice-President and Business Head, Xpress Money said: “It is a given that cricket unites people across age groups, like no other sport does. We are delighted to be hosting the 8th edition of this league in association with Insportz Club, Dubai. We are sure to witness the same kind of excitement and zeal amongst the team players as well as see some great cricket on the field – like we have seen in the previous years. Pure passion for the sport is truly what has made the event a great success over the years.”
