Emirates NBD edge out Radio 4

Emirates NBD sneaked past Radio 4 by 10 runs in a Group A match of the Aseel Islamic Finance 26th Sharjah Ramadan Cup 2014 Twenty20 cricket tournament.

The tournament is organised by the Sharjah Cricket Council.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Emirates NBD recovered to make 128 for seven in 20 overs after struggling at 82-7.

Radio 4 appeared to be cruising towards the target but lost too many wickets be restricted to 118 for six.

Emirates NBD opener Taimur Khaleel provided the right start with a 26-ball 36 hitting four boundaries and two sixes.

Nayar scored a 22-ball 28 and Waqas Khan a 14-ball 19 to steer Emirates NBD to a competitive total.
